Straight From Our Owners.

Vantra camper van owner on a northern Canada and Alaska road trip

“The Vantra van has been working great for us, driving through northern Canada and Alaska from Vermont. Through potholed forest service roads, washboard gravel highways and muddy construction sections, nothing has fallen off or rattled loose. No water leaks or annoying squeaks, just top build quality. Very glad about the choices we made. The sliding rear windows provide nice air flow over the bed at night. The 10kWh battery system and the efficient 48V air conditioner means there is always enough power for cooking and hot water.”

Vantra camper van owner with an open-layout build

“I am so impressed by how much I love this van! I was looking for something with an open setup and classic look. I love all the details and how much storage space I have! Working with Ryan and Isaac was great. They are both very professional and I see how important it was to them that my van was exactly what I wanted. I’m so grateful I came across this company and I can’t wait for all the adventures I will have in it. Best part is ALL my pups can go with me! My heart is so full! If you have been thinking about getting a camper van then 💯 go with Vantra!!!”

Vantra camper van owner beside their custom build with kayaks

“Ryan and Isaac were great to work with and their craftsmanship is outstanding, exponentially better than anything we saw on the lot at a dealership. They selected high quality hardware and a faucet and sprayer that’s nicer than the one in our house. Their sensitivity to environmental concerns is reflected in material choices such as red cedar and bamboo, brass rather than PVC fittings, and solar energy as a primary power source. Importantly, Ryan and Isaac listened to our needs and wants and built the perfect van for us, from a drain directly to the ground for gray water; to a pull-out tray to assist with loading our 10' kayaks through the back of the van; to a handle at the sliding door that accommodates a medical condition by facilitating access to the van. We could not be happier with our van or for working with such professional young men.”

Total cost depends on layout tier, platform, and any add-ons. Use our builder tool for transparent, itemized pricing.
We don't offer in-house financing, but we recommend LightStream, which offers unsecured loans up to $100,000 for those with good credit. We'd also encourage you to check with your local credit union, as they often have competitive rates available.
You place your order, then either bring us a van or have us source one. Most builds take 2–6 weeks from the start date. We'll stay in touch throughout, and you'll pick up the finished van from our Wilmington shop.
You can bring us a van (Ram ProMaster 159″ or Ford Transit 148″ High Roof), or we can source either platform for you. We'll confirm the specs before build begins.
Every Vantra camper van build includes a 1-year workmanship warranty. The appliances we install also carry their own manufacturer warranties, typically 1–5 years depending on the brand.
For North Carolina buyers, we handle titling, registration, and taxes. If you're out of state, you'll take care of those in your home state after pickup.
It depends on how you buy. For North Carolina buyers who purchase the van and conversion together from us, the build is subject to North Carolina's Highway Use Tax, along with the state's title and registration fee. If you bring us your own van and we do the conversion, that work is subject to North Carolina sales tax instead, as are any add-ons done later. We'll walk through the exact taxes and fees for your situation before you order.
